“For its age, the Motom chassis still feels balanced and confident. The bike from the early 1950s has lost none of its design sophistication. The single cylinder sounds fantastic, but not too loud from its chrome silencer. Thanks to meticulously adjusted shift cables – a science in itself – the gears change wonderfully. The moped whizzes through traffic, is not an obstacle but a small, lively source of happiness. Class and maturity instead of slowness and sacrifice. The concept exudes more creativity, enables greater ambitions and has more captivating charm than most of the competition of its time. It was not without reason that Motom became one of the most successful brands of the post-war years.”
