One of the best Hotels in Europe, a setting at the banks of Lake Como, well-dressed guests and carefully confected delicacies. The renowned Concorso d´Eleganza in Italy is a tie of prestige and sophistication. But the selection of classic cars and motorcycles easily outstrips this obvious luxury, and – I have to say – does it by miles.
It´s been the first time that I attended this happening, most probably the overall highlight in any classic car enthusiast´s calendar. And it immediately blew me away! Because where do you see the prototype of Bertone´s Stratos along with a 6-wheeled Tyrrell, pre-war Bugatti-awesomeness, the latest BMW Motorrad concept and an Alfa 33 Stradale? Within 2 minutes. And in motion. The 2018 Concorso was so eclectic that Ferrari GTOs and 212s became something of a standard. Concorso d´Eleganza – that´s car porn overkill, guaranteed.
