It´s easy to understand the appeal of motocross. Action, dirt, steady surprises and the never-ending battle between man, machine and nature. What can you not love about that? Especially when most bikes are older than the contestants…
Of course, classic MX like the Offroad Festival in Wietstock is a niche, but a huge thing for those involved. Maico, BSA, KTM, The Big Four, AWO, Bultaco, CZ… – the bandwidth is breathtaking, and so is the technology in detail.
Seeing these timeless oldies digging in the dirt, I can even ignore that my camera will need a two-hour cleaning from the dust afterwards. But, as they say, nothing ventured, nothing gained…
